..... 106 of them to be precise, alongside another 1700 native saplings and plants, a total of 12 different species all being planted this November. After months of planning and research, our landscape architect has surveyed our school grounds and the first planting plans have been agreed. We are just about ready to take our first step in reintroducing species native to our South Downs landscape. The planting plan has two distinct areas - one reserved for pupils to plant and care for with the help of our landscape architect, and another larger area will be planted and maintained by an outside contractor. Oh and cornus sanguinia? The common dogwood (but you knew that i'm sure).
